Four coffees, one afternoon, zero regrets
Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz · Cafés
Aditi's plan. Vinay asked about the historical significance of Al Quoz. There wasn't any.
A warehouse district turned coffee-and-galleries neighbourhood. We walked between roasters, compared filters and pretended to know what we were tasting.
Why we went
Aditi's rule: a good weekend needs at least one very good flat white.
What actually happened
By coffee number three Vinay was talking very fast about a fort in Ras Al Khaimah. Directly related.
Cost
AED 25 to 40 per cup
Duration
3 to 4 hours
Best time
Weekend mornings
Food and drinks
Great veg brunch plates. Coffee is the point.
